Hun Kosal Vows to Protect "Techo Heritage" After Being Appointed Senior Ministry Position

PHNOM PENH: After former Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) activist, Hun Kosal, was granted bail by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court and bestowed the title of Undersecretary of State by the King of Cambodia on Monday, 24 April 2023, he wrote a message expressing his gratitude to the Prime Minister on his official Facebook page.

"After meeting the Prime Minister in person, I found that he has a personality that is full of joy and deep compassion,” wrote Hun Kosal.

"I am only a former prisoner who committed a crime against the Prime Minister, but after holding this invaluable meeting, the Prime Minister escorted us to the front of his residence. This behaviour alone shows that he is a man with a heart that holds no malice or hatred.”

Hun Kosal said that it is because of the Prime Minister’s generosity that the Cambodian people have always respected and continue highly respect the leader, calling him “the founder of peace in Cambodia."

“The Prime Minister’s soft and clear voice really reminded me of precious words and important lessons in life,” Hun Kosal added. “Doers often get slandered by those who talk too much and are very jealous. The Prime Minister has always been a hard worker, so the gossip spread by critics does not act as an obstacle for those who are like the Prime Minister, rather, the result is an invaluable national legacy is built. We, the next generation of Cambodians, must absolutely protect ‘Techo heritage’.”
